Role-based Resource Organization in E-learning Environment

This paper provides the research of resource organization in e-learning environment. To address the shortages of resource organization, in this paper a new resource organization method in e-learning environment is proposed, which is called role-based resource organization and is based on our definition of resources and roles. Using this method, a test system RBRTEE is developed. The test result of RBRTEE indicates role-based resource organization can settle some problems in e-learning environment efficiently, such as unreasonable resource organization, ambiguous role definition, and inefficient implementation of personalized teaching, etc. − Ambiguity of resource definition. Confusion of resource conception will cause harm to teaching activity. − Ambiguity of role definition in environment. In e-learning environment. Ambiguity of role definition will cause mistake when system provide resources to user. − Ignore difference of students. Many systems can’t provide personalized teaching. − Irrationality of resource design. Which makes it difficult for the students to construct knowledge. − Short of presentation of teacher’s guidance. Teacher’s guidance main act on students through resource organization. Irrationality of resource organization make harm to this effect.
